Jewellery care
Storage
To keep your jewellery tarnish free while not wearing it, store it in a airtight container to assure it stays dry and away from moisture in the air and direct sunlight. If possible store each piece in a separate compartment. Although not the most aesthetic solution, clear plastic organiser boxes is a great choice.
Wear
Wearing your jewellery is a great way to keep it from tarnishing, however, a couple of things need to be kept in mind.
Chemicals found in perfume, lotions and cleaning products can damage your jewellery. Make sure that it's the last thing you put on after getting ready. Taking your rings off or wearing gloves while cleaning will protect them.
When swimming or showering, it's best to take your jewellery off. Forgetting to do so every now won't cause too much damage but make sure to dry it well after.
Powder-coated pieces
The powder coated pieces are all sterling silver underneath and so the same care as above applies. The coating is industrial strength and very hardwearing, however just like other powder-coated surfaces, is susceptible to sun damage and scratching if not cared for correctly. If your powder-coating needs a clean, warm soapy water and a soft brush works well to clean it. Once again, make sure to dry it completely after.
You will receive a polish cloth with your order that works wonders to bring shine back to the sterling silver, just make sure to avoid any powder-coated parts when using it.
